Cloud utilized for more than storage.

Posted by:

Tech companies don’t refer to the word “cloud” to describe puffy white objects in the sky. Cloud is used to explain a service that shares information, data and links all of our computers to smart phones and smart phones to servers, etc.  When a beneficial product like the cloud is provided, companies typically use the service to house information and backup important files. But, Panasonic has adopted this service to control futuristic household items. While looking through various technology web pages, we found an article about Panasonic unveiling a cloud based garden. The transition from utilizing the cloud for business storage to household gardening poses the question of what will they think of next?

Panasonic has obviously branched out from televisions, personal appliances and cameras. However, allowing homeowners to test their green thumb while using technology is a very interesting avenue they have decided to take. It will obviously catch the eye of a large number of consumers, but when they lay their eyes on the hefty price tag, a large majority of gardening enthusiasts might not jump at the chance to purchase this pint sized smart greenhouse. For more information on the cloud based garden you can find the article HERE. It is a fascinating concept and one that will most likely attract a new following of high tech gardeners.

Pivot currently offers a private cloud to our clients. It is a technology that has allowed our company to catapult to the head of the competition and offer our clients the best possible service and technology.
